Elizabeth, wife of William:
census entries (1841 and 1851) and
1861
There is a marriage in 1813 of a William Osborn and Elizabeth Laitt - event date 03 Oct 1813;
the marriage had the consent of parents, so is not too early; however there are two circumstances which
make it uncertain as to its relevance.
the wedding was in Barking, at the church of St Margaret (SEAX D/P 81/1/31 Image 7, Page 8, No 22); and also
at the same church in the same year there was a wedding on 29th March 1813 of
Thomas Osborn to Mary (?) Cutts, suggesting of the same family - not this William/Elizabeth.
familysearch.org suggests Smith as an alternative spelling for the bride; but I cannot agree with that interpretation.
See image.

Census data relating to William (Senior) and William (Junior) and their families.
1841Note on the possible birth of a son to Edward (1802-1833)
SEAX records show a birth in West Ham in 1802 of Edward Osborn, plainly part of this family, and a likely death in 1833.
There was a birth of Edmund Osborn in 1830 to Edward and Ann Osborn of Stratford shown in the SEAX records; but there is no record of a marriage. Also in the SEAX records, baptisms are recorded for both Eliza and Elizabeth at the dates expected from the census returns; and the father is named as George Bennett, a painter, of Stratford. I have found no record for a marriage of Ann to a Bennett either in SEAX or FreeBMD.
The birth certificate for George Bennet in 1839 (West Ham Sep 12 269) shows the father as George Bennett, a painter, of Stratford. The mother, Ann, has given her former name as Christmas.
There are no Christmas names in West Ham in the 1841 census. There are no SEAX All Saints marriages up to 1835 for either Bennett or Christmas.
In 1841 Ann Bennett is shown aged 35, with a family of children, the eldest being Edmund Bennett, born about the time of Edmund Osborn. There is no entry for Ann`s husband. In the 1851 census at the same address Ann Bennett is shown as a widow with 3 children; the eldest this time is named Edmond Osborn.
With the birth of the child George Bennett in the September quarter of 1839, the death of husband George is unlikely to have been before early 1839. There is no death shown for a George Bennett from March 1838 to December 1840 in West Ham in FreeBMD, though there is one nearby (Jun 1839 Bennett George Whitechapel 2 376). Two other deaths in the east of London (Whitechapel and Bethnal Green) in the March quarter of 1841 seem rather less likely.
The family seems to have disappeared from the census records after 1861. Trying to work back on Ann`s birth is made difficult by the unidentifiable birthplaces in the census returns and the somewhat suspicious former name given in George`s birth certificate.
